Our client is one of Australia's leading and biggest Financial Services Organisation that has expanded its operations beyond the Australian shores. Undergone a strategic and ambitious growth, the organisation is looking for C# developer to join the team. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies in a highly complex landscape.
You will join a small team responsible for Front Office trading systems used by traders. The role is looking for an individual of C# WPF solid background.
You will work closely with the Development Manager and be expected to take ownership of the full SDLC including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of your solutions. You will also form part of a technology excellence committee tasked with seeking out new and innovative ways to improve practices and procedures. In addition you will solve software problems and fix bugs in the existing product versions.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong understanding of the .NET platform (4.0 & 4.5) with experience on both desktop and server
- In depth knowledge of build for scalability and performance, focus on low latency/concurrency/memory management
- Demonstrated mastery of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and messaging layers (RabbitMQ, Tibco Rv)
- Enthusiastic and motivated about technology while maintaining a pragmatic focus on getting the job done
- Strong grasp of WPF, MVVM, WinForms, ASP .NET, Rx, Continuous integration and ClickOnce
- Previous finance/Front Office experience is an advantage; Prior FX and treasury experience is a plus
- Powershell, MSBuild Scripting, Java, Perl, Linux, KDB are of advantage
