EMPLOYMENT TAX SPECIALIST - CANARY WHARF BASED - Contract role

Bank of America Merrill Lynch are currently seeking to recruit a Employment Tax Specialist to join their HR Team in the office based in Canary Wharf.

We are looking for a Employment Tax Specialist who will be acting as the first point of contact with the business on executive compensation and tax matters. There is a specific focus on employment tax, tax assistance and deferred compensation through employee benefit.

Key skills for a Employment Tax Specialist:
* Tax background
* ATT qualified with experience in PAYE/NIC consulting, expatriate taxation and compensation planning
* The ability to explain complex compensation and tax issues to senior individuals in a straightforward manner is key.
* Strong technical background and ability to demonstrate good commerciality
* Ability to use own initiative and judgement
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to operate at all levels
* Ability to be proactive and work under pressure
* Good IT skills such as excel and word
* Demonstrate good presentation skills
* Ability to work with low levels of supervision on projects
* Enthusiasm to work within a broader Compensation & Benefits team and be flexible enough to work across the team to cover overlap areas
* Experience of managing multiple projects
* Knowledge of developing new processes across HR
* Excellent client relationship skills in order to maintain a close working relationship with executive and line management and key clients within the business
