Role Purpose:

Under the direction of Business Improvement Programme, works with stakeholders to develop and deploy a proactive, ongoing, robust risk management (RM) process for new product introduction. This process will enable intelligent, rewarded innovation risk-taking whilst protecting the company's assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop deploy and embed a simple and effective new product development RM framework focused on adding value to the business
  • Provide and coordinate cross category RM training of the new process globally; establish whether there is a need for RM training at local operating company level
  • Rationalise, synchronise and harmonize existing risk activities, systems (MS Server) and reporting in line with this new process across Categories
  • Enable the cross Category aggregation, escalation and reporting of risk and issues to leadership
  • Define governance arrangements and establish Category RM boards. Support these in carrying out their oversight and monitoring duties
  • Act as the subject matter expert providing advice, guidance and facilitation as needed
  • Create a Category RM knowledge repository framework and definitions, processes and procedures, best practices and lessons learned; reference materials, tools and techniques
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and other attributes related to RM program effectiveness
  • Review and improve, in partnership with business leads, the quality of RM for Category-critical innovation projects thus maximising the likelihood of success

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Definition and deployment of risk management previously
  • Strong Project management capabilities and experience
  • Essential that you have worked FMCG new product development programmes
  • MS Server; MS Project; MS Office
  • Risk Management and/or Project Management qualifications
