Information Architect, Warrington - 6 months

A Information Architect is required for a huge IT transformation project for an NHS client. You will be responsible for providing architecture expertise and direction for Information and Data Architecture definition. Contributing to development of Informatics Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Direction.

The trust has a budget of £12 million to deliver this work and they are looking to create the best Information Management platform within the NHS. They will be utilising the Master Data Model for the Information programme of work and will be implementing a new Data Warehouse with a local partner. Also providing integration of structured and non structured data into a holistic enterprise architecture

Role purpose
  • Provide architecture expertise and direction for Information and Data Architecture definition
  • Define Data Architecture components of Enterprise Architecture
  • Define, create and maintain Enterprise Data model
  • Define data management processes for Trust
  • Contribute to development of Informatics Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Direction

Contract length - 6 months

Start - 20th-27th April

Rate - £ p/d

Technical skills and experience
  • knowledge of a wide range of information and data techniques and technologies
  • Data Warehouse Architecture in a SQL environment
  • ETL
  • Data modelling
  • Electronic Document Management System or EDMS
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF)


The role
  • Lead Information Architecture (IA) definition process, creating data model, data management processes and mapping definitions.
  • Ensure IA definition and design is appropriate, flexible, robust and future-proof
  • Ensure Information and Data solutions proposed within Trust are fit for purpose and provide guidance and challenge to the business/programme team to ensure that proposed solutions adhere to the IA blueprint and standards
  • Interpret business operating models into information management requirements, balancing specific programme and project requirements with enterprise-wide architectural integrity
