Candidates will need to have:

  • A full understanding of global mobility, with ideally three to five years experience of working in a global mobility or international assignment team, preferably in-house
  • Experience of working with a range of external providers
  • Understanding of expatriate tax, pension and social security issues, immigration and cultural differences
  • Skilled in Excel, Powerpoint, MS word, databases
  • Excellent follow up and co-ordination skills, delivers timely and satisfactory closure of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a good team player.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work under pressure and quick turnaround times.
  • General knowledge of other human resources functions and some exposure in project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strongly numerate, meticulous, accurate with an eye for details when dealing with large amounts of data and complex calculations
  • University Degree preferred

Responsibilities: 

  • Advising managers and HRBPs on policy application and interpretation
  • Preparing and reviewing cost projections using external expatriate management system
  • Reviewing and securing appropriate approvals for each assignment or transfer
  • Preparation and review of assignment letters and related documentation
  • Counselling assignees on assignment and tax policies to ensure full understanding of the terms offered
  • Ensuring appropriate initiation of and monitoring relocation and other services with our external vendors
  • Coordinating a smooth transition of payroll and ensuring correct home country deductions (eg pension, social security)are taken from pay where appropriate
  • Monitoring and reviewing exception requests ahead of escalation to Head of Global Mobility, for approval
  • Monitoring compensation data communication between Payroll and external tax provider for completion of annual tax returns
  • Assisting with the annual salary and bonus review for the assignee population
  • Understanding and applying social security and tax legislation in EMEA and other locations
  • Developing relationships and liaising as appropriate with external service companies for the provision of relocation, tax and social security, immigration services, etc
  • Ensuring tax and immigration compliance for all international moves
  • Building credibility and partnering with all stakeholders in the mobility process eg HR business partners, local HR personnel, payroll managers, etc.
  • Providing assistance from time to time with the management and administration of assignments and transfers in other locations
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as directed by the Global Mobility Manager
