Description
- Support the design, development, testing, integration and deployment phases of all the designated content value added services

Define and review system design and architecture of components assigned to the content value added service (VAS) group. This includes:
-
Participation during requirements and design sessions insuring that component supports functional and technical requirements
-
Ensure that delivered system supports non-functional requirements related to performance, auditing and stability of system.

Maintain together with vendor up to date documentation related to component design, API interface spec and configuration/deployment guide
-
Develop and execute component test packs
-
Support integration phase of project providing support related to the content VAS components
-
Support or lead deployment of content VAS systems at affiliates
Job demands:
-
Two or more years of experience in a similar position.
-
Hands on and theoretical knowledge of networking technologies (HTTP, TCP/IP, FTP,..)
-
Hands on and theoretical knowledge of application integration technologies (XML, HTTP REST, JMS, SOAP)
-
Hands on knowledge and experience with Unix (preferably on system admin level)

Familiar with SQL

Must possess, or develop, a broad knowledge of non-IT systems eg broadcast systems and standards.

Experiences with testing applications
-
Must be able to work under pressure and be prepared to occasionally work outside normal working hours when necessary.

Ability to understand and validate functional requirements against technical specifications
-
Ability to understand impacts of technical solutions on non-technical aspects of projects (eg project planning, operational aspects)

Excellent English.

Desirable skills and experience

Knowledge and understanding of Digital TV systems (MPEG2, Conditional Access, STB's, Middleware)

Knowledge of OSS/BSS, CRM and billing systems

Knowledge of DOCSIS

Theoretical and working knowledge of:

Service Oriented Architecture and ESB

Web 2.0 and Web Services Technologies
