Description
Qualification Engineer with a detailed knowledge & experience with Typhoon Avionics System Safety Case required for leading defence company in Warton. Please note the suitable candidate will be required to gain SC Clearance
The Avionics Safety Engineer is responsible for producing Avionic Safety Cases in support of Flight Test of development and production aircraft. Liaison with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to highlight any emerging technical shortfalls at the earliest opportunity.

The job holder will have the following skills/experience:
Detailed knowledge & experience with Typhoon Avionics System Safety Case
Detailed knowledge & experience of generating Safety Cases
Detailed knowledge & experience of Typhoon Certification and Airworthiness processes
Proven track record of delivering high-quality Flight Certification paperwork to demanding timescales
Ability to work under pressure
Able to influence stakeholders at all levels with well-reasoned compelling arguments
KRAs
Analysis/review of Avionic Sub-System & Non-Avionic System Safety Assessment Reports (SARs).
Production of Avionics Safety Cases (SSARs and Delta Statements) in support of Flight Certification documentation.
Ensuring that all dependencies are managed in an appropriate and timely fashion.
Keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and responding to any issues in a timely manner.
Ensuring good communication with internal and external interfaces takes place.
Support to Avionic/Project Safety committee.
Building & Maintaining good working relationship with the Independent Safety Authority (ISA)
