Description
We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Designer (Contract) for my client based in Amsterdam, the NetherlandsMain Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure designer/engineer will work in close collaboration with the Infrastructure architects and delivery managers of the CIO Infrastructure Team.
The design creation will be a joint effort between the infrastructure architects and the designer/engineer. The architect gathers information like the business requirements and constraints, will supply the design framework and solution catalogue items.
Candidate works in consultation with platform services and participates in architecture brainstorming and design discussions with technical team members spanning across several platforms, and ensures that the IT infrastructure solution fulfils the agreed functionality and quality requirements given by the customer.
Knowledge/Skills
The selected candidate needs to have a strong background in managing complex IT infrastructure setup.
From an expertise perspective, candidate should have proven skills in infrastructure development concerning Engineered Systems, Systems integration, Virtualisation, Application & Database platforms and Middleware.
Experience in developing scalable enterprise technology strategies and possess a good overall knowledge in technologies including but not limited to Cloud, VMWare & Citrix virtualization platforms, Cisco/Juniper & other OEMs Networking, Windows & Unix Servers, Storage Solutions across EMC, Netapp, Hitachi and other OEMs, Active Directory & LDAP, Java-based application & integration Servers, Oracle & SQL Server RDBMS, Web fundamentals like HTTP, SSL, FTP, DNS etc.
