Our client, a large Financial Services Institution, has a requirement within their Regulatory Reporting team.

  • Responsible for the production of Corep Own Funds (capital, credit risk, market risk and operational risk) and Large Exposures templates to the FCA. Process included challenging Policy lead on interpretation of regulations, investigating validation issues in the automation application software (FRS) and raising queries with the vendor to develop a solution to correct validation issues.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of FRS Wolters Kluwer by ensuring that all new Oracle accounts are mapped correctly into FRS, validating daily batch runs and creating reporting templates for team members.
  • Conducting ad hoc impact analysis on queries from Financial Controllers and senior management on the liquidity and capital positions on entities.
  • Production of monthly, quarterly and semi-annual FCA/PRA liquidity and capital returns- FSA001, 002,015,017,029,031, 047, 048,050,051,052 and 054 returns as well as calculation of LCR and NSFR (IMM and EBA) for internal monitoring.
  • Create, develop and introduce Daily Capital Adequacy reporting template under CRD IV which is sent to the UK Head of Finance and Treasury. Involves the automation process from the point of ensuring the validity and accuracy of the feed batch in the automation application to offering a contingency method of producing the report in cases where there are feed failures.
  • Principal point of contact and SME in the production and internal distribution of daily liquidity, large exposures and wholesale mismatch reporting to senior management whilst taking the lead in investigating key movements with Treasury, Liquidity Management.
  • Take the initiative to offer suggestions in ways to improve the liquidity position of the entities with Financial Controllers, Treasury and UK Regulatory Director.
  • Heavy involvement in UAT testing on FRS with upgrades and changes and UAT testing on new OTC and equity products.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience within Financial Service s, preferably with Regulatory reporting experience covering banks and investment firms
  • ACCA/CIMA, PQ, and/or equivalent or qualified by experience
  • Good working knowledge of CRD IV covering banks and investment firms
  • Good understanding of GENPRU, BIPRU, IPRU-INV, IFPRU prudential standards.
  • Ability to explain technical regulatory rules to colleagues in and outside the Regulatory Reporting team.
  • Good systems and application skills. EXCEL, and WKFRS Reg. reporting application.
  • Flexibility when solving and making decisions taking into account a broad range of internal and external factors; understanding and working effectively with higher management; adjusts actions and decisions for focus on critical issues; accepts accountability for impact of decisions made.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders; gain the cooperation of peers and customers, persuade others; mobilize people to take action.
  • Ability to set a strategic vision, inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
