Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer required for central government organisaton based in London with overseas travel
Please note the work will be carried out within a security cleared environment so candidates must be eligible to undergo security clearance prior to start.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Chartered Professional Civil/Structural Engineering qualification - Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council (CEng)
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in the field
Corporate member of professional Engineering body ie Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE)
Proven track record in leading design and construction teams through project management processes
Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation as applied in a civil/structural engineering context
Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Good financial management skills
Knowledge of Design Software: AutoCAD, REVIT, Vectorworks, Sketch-up Photoshop etc., Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Project
The Role: You will work in a multi-disciplined team, providing specialist input and design advice on structural engineering works to a wide and varied range of world-wide projects. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will act as Structural Engineer on selected projects from inception to completion, assisting the project manager to ensure closure is reached to quality, time and budget. Assisting in the engagement of customers, stakeholders and end-users and problem solving along the way. Also responsible for the management of appointed external consultants and contractors to ensure that projects meet the technical brief and management of financial resources in order to ensure value for money is achieved
