Vendor/Relationship Manager (Financial Services) - Chester - 3 months

Overview: The primary objective of this role is the onboarding of and then the support of the ongoing holistic management of a small portfolio of low risk Vendor applications, aligned to a specific Line of Business, which includes Technology Planning, Stakeholder Management, Change Delivery, Application Strategy, Maintenance and Support and Governance

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

*Responsible for aspects of Application Management across the elements of the Vendor Applications portfolio assigned
*Responsible for the management of multiple technologies and applications that contribute to the operation of a given line of business function and provides technical guidance and input
*Stakeholder management to enable effective collaboration across internal, enterprise wide and external stakeholders
*Responsible for the Application strategy across the elements of the portfolio assigned in line with both Business and Technical strategy.

*Demonstrates effective communication skills to a wide range of stakeholders, both formally and informally
*Demonstrates a good understanding of the relationship of own role with the organisation as a whole and fully understands impact when making proposals and/or carrying out work.
*Build Customer/Client Driven Environment - establishes good relationships with Business as primary Customer.
*Demonstrates good supplier management skills when engaging with Vendors
*Takes initiative to ensure technical knowledge is kept up to date and in line with industry developments.

Essential Experience and Technical Qualifications
*Good Stakeholder Management skills
*Broad understanding across multiple technologies and how they inter-relate and can be used to drive value to the Business
*Some working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
*Good Organisational Skills
