Software Configuration Management Administrator

Role Summary:

A leading banking institution is seeking a talented individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality. The successful candidate will be a key figure in the support and administration of new Continuous Delivery (DEVOPS) tools and processes across the organisation. This job will encompass a wide range of skills and responsibilities including; maintaining the availability of the Enterprise Tooling HUB (ETH) infrastructure and software, monitoring the security-level access control of all software/applications, managing software licence renewals and providing support to all users of the ETH package.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Manage resolution of any issues pertaining to the ETH high availability network, tool user interfaces, command-line, Linux server performance and backup, including connectivity to remote sites.
  • Provide tool support, training and documentation for ETH users.
  • Provide support for ETH users on software configuration management and continuous delivery best practices.
  • Perform activities to help with tool vendor selection, piloting, integration and rollout.
  • Support tool and process audits when required.
  • Proactively implement the process and tool improvements based on audit or review recommendations.

Mandatory Skills:

  • A minimum of 2+ yearsâ administrating, training and supporting SCM/ALM tools for example GIT, TFS, ClearCase, Dimensions, Collabnet, Perforce.
  • A minimum of 2+ yearsâ administrating, training and supporting Change Management Tools for example JIRA, TFS, Remedy, ClearQuest, TIVOLI, CA.
  • A minimum of 3+ yearsâ experience of application life cycle best practices for example CMMi, ITIL, SCRUM.
  • High proficiency with the Atlassian Suite.
  • Strong working knowledge of Branching and Release management techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and training skills.
  • Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a passion for quality.
