Strategy Analyst, Consultative Approach, Fixed Income, Canary Wharf 6 months
Tier One Investment Bank requires a Strategy Analyst to join their Fixed Income and EMEA Strategy Team in Canary Wharf on an initial 6 month contract. They need someone with a big picture approach to work who can consult between business and key stake holders.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch requires a Java Developer with Market Connectivity Experienced to work on a low touch project with focus on FIX connectivity, low latency market connectivity, smart order routing, algorithmic trading and internal crossing.
You will be involved with key functional changes to the Electronic Trading engine, delivery of core framework changes, and full development life cycle exposure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Supporting the Global Head of Fixed Income/Co-Head of Investment Banking/CEO of EMEA
*Creating strategy presentations (eg board presentations, employee town halls, regulatory presentations)
*Providing business management support for regular management meetings
*Supporting the project management of strategic initiatives
*Performing market and competitor analyses where necessary
*Liaising with other parts of the firm on strategic initiatives (eg IB COO, Product COOs)
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
*Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking or business development
*Excellent PowerPoint skills - problem structuring and story-lining a plus
*Solid Excel and analytical skills - ability to problem solve
*Proficient written and verbal communication skills
*Excellent academic background from a top tier university (CFA or MBA a plus)
*Exposure to and knowledge of financial markets
*Confidence and ability to work with senior management
*Ability to work under pressure and be a team player
