Overview:
  • Seeking individuals with the ability and desire to learn new skills and grow their experience in the mobile device industry.
  • This role will work directly with the Sales Engineering team to help design and support new wireless technology for large retail companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new hardware and software and work with engineering to determine best practices.
  • Work closely with the Sales Engineering organization to understand the technology.
  • Create and deploy software packages to mobile devices effectively and efficiently.
  • Design processes to reduce redundancy and simplify support.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation on areas of responsibility.
  • Attend training to learn and keep up to date on new technology.
  • Be available for escalations from the customer.
  • Assist with driving root cause for hot issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
SKILLS:

Qualifications:
  • Technical degree preferred but not required.
  • Some experience working in an enterprise network environment.
  • Experience with automated software distribution and deployment tools a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft windows architecture including the registry, login scripts, and Active Directory.
  • Documented software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Documented experience with local area network fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, and the OSI layer.
  • Knowledge of current network and computer system security best practices.
  • Self-motivated and customer oriented.
  • Microsoft Certifications a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with mobile devices, mobile operating systems, and Linux are a major plus.
  • Software development skills a plus.
