Description
Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Media Officer to join a large public sector client based in Stirling. The role is for an initial contract until the end of May 2015 however it may be later than this.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to work alongside a team of other media officers to manage all media issues for the company. This will include:
. Researching and drafting media releases and/or statements
. Researching and drafting responses to media enquiries
. Managing media coverage that may have an impact on the company's reputation
. Liaising with teams both internally and externally.
About You
The successful Media Officer will have experience of working on a busy media desk and providing a media management services. You will also hold a degree in a relevant subject or similar. You will have demonstrable experience of handling social media in a professional working environment. In addition, you will be comfortable working to tight deadlines and will be able to perform well under pressure. You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to liaise with a variety of people when necessary.
