My client is a renowned, cutting edge organisation seeking interim procurement professionals with experience of strategic sourcing, Eu rules and regs, and major construction and infrastructure projects.
About the role:
This role will carry out complex bid negotiations and manage multiple projects.
Working across one or more categories, you'll hone a range of commercial purchasing skills such as negotiation, project management and relationship management
A good appreciation of procurement processes, strategic sourcing and category management is essential for all roles. You'll also need the communication and negotiation skills to build productive relationships with customers and suppliers.
About you
Suitable applicants will be CIPS qualified or equivalent with experience in strategic sourcing within a structured procurement environment.
Experience of energy, utilities or regulated procurement would be helpful although not essential.
Good communication skills, with an ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and business stakeholders.
Ability to run a number of events concurrently, able to hit the ground running
Experience of a structured sourcing process from requirements definition to final award and closure of sourcing projects
Experience of leading structured negotiations
Experience of negotiating terms and conditions
Experience/knowledge of EU Procurement Regulations and OJEU would be beneficial
Deep seated knowledge of categories would be advantageous, however it isn't essential.
General experience of product and service sourcing is advantageous/works type arrangements could also be of use
