IT Project Manager
Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for the management of allocated Projects to cost and time as directed:
- Delivering projects to cost and time.
- Ensure project standards & controls are applied & adhered to throughout the program or project
- Ensure the correct deliverables are in place, and to the right quality, at the end of each phase of the project life cycle
- Creation of specific Project Documents and mobilisation paperwork for projects
- Mobilise and resource the technical delivery elements of the projects
- Effective operational handover to Service and Business Transformation
- Purchasing and budget management of Technical elements of projects
- Completion Reports and closure of technical elements of projects
- Manage the selection, and capital request approval for purchase, of supplier systems
Skills and Experience
- Project management & commercial third party management experience
- Goal orientated & strong delivery/milestone focus
- Experienced in full life cycle project management implementation
- Experienced in SDLC
- Experience in Project 2010 and Project Server
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience of project management methodologies PRINCE 2, Scrum (Scrum Master preferred) and planning tools
- Strong communication skills
- Strong planning skills
- Proven ability to manage a skilled multi-disciplinary project team
- Natural leader and proven ability to confidently manage relationships with senior management stakeholders (business and IT)
- Able to work in a commercially driven, sometimes pressurised environment.
- Experience delivering enterprise Web, eCommerce, Digital type projects
N.B This role is not a Technical PM vacancy and essentially requires someone with a software delivery bias (Web focus) in large, ideally global businesses. Scrum Master experience is required as is the ability to effectively manage people at all levels in a very commercially driven environment.
