Roc Search is currently recruiting for a Quality NPI Engineer for a role based in Wiltshire for a 3 month rolling contract - please see details below;

To direct Quality planning activities along the New Product Introduction process cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the organisation in the APQP activities by engaging cross-functionally and keeping all Quality aspects of the major active projects in control.
Ensure all objectives and requirements are clearly taken into consideration by the relevant departments so that objective evidence can be demonstrated that they have been an input into each relevant activity.
Keep the Project Status up to date and articulated so that top management keeps clear understanding of time related constraints, quality risks and various threats to the project success.
Engage with the project manager to make sure the sequence of activities and critical path from a quality perspective are both included in the overall project management plan.
Manage the quality risks in design, manufacturing and supply chain.
Build an agile documentation system including deliverables required by the project to make sure that the current Quality System is used as a reference, strengthened if required and cross-reference links are kept live so that the project team can utilise the information, navigate in a complex document landscape with ease and benefit from the logical and agile breakdown on hand.
Spearhead DFMEA and PFMEA initiatives.
Engage with Manufacturing Systems Engineers and Quality to make sure the right detection methods are used when required.
Create specific test plans to mitigate risks when detection is the last resort.
Create cause and effect/parameter Matrix to identify critical to quality elements in the manufacturing processes that are planned to be introduced.

This is what we need you to have...

Experience:

Degree and practical experience of working in a cross-functional, project orientated team to deploy products right first time.
Experienced in problem solving methodologies (including 8D) up to an industry best practice level.
Expert knowledge of AIAG core tools, APQP, FMEA, PPAP etc.

Competencies:

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability and aptitude to interpret complex customer requirements and implement necessary processes.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and to lead a team.
Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written contexts.
Ability to influence peer group and management groups.

Additional Skills:

Advanced user of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
Good knowledge of data management/sub versioning to ensure adherence to best principles of knowledge/document management in a collaboration setting.
