Senior Acute Contracts & Commissioning ManagerMy client, an NHS organisation, are looking for an interim Senior Acute Contracts & Commissioning specialist.
The Senior Acute Contracts & Commissioning Manager post will be for an initial 4 months with strong possibility of extension & at a day rate of £400 per day.
I am looking for an individual who is immediately available.
Day to day duties of the Senior Acute Contracts & Commissioning Manager:
- Managing existing relationships with internal clinicians & external providers & commissioners
- Managing a specific tender process
- Liaise with providers to ensure the organisation is obtaining best value for money on contracts & hold them accountable if not
- Identify new organisations to work with & set up meetings with stakeholders to negotiate new contracts
- Engage with senior members of staff to ensure all of the departments are working towards the same goal
- Continuously strive for the organisation to improve their foothold in the market
- Produce detailed service specifications
Requirements for the Senior Acute Contracts & Commissioning Manager:
- Acute contracts/commissioning experience is essential
- Experience of produced service specifications of the highest standard
- Skilled negotiator
- An individual who can work on their own initiative
- Experience of leading on a tendering process
- Ability to engage with clinicians
- Proven background in high level stakeholder engagement, both internally & externally
- Ability to identify with provider costs & rectify issues where needed
