Position Title: WEU Online & Ecomm Technical Lead

Main responsibility: As Technical Lead for the region, you will ensure the business sets up its technical infrastructure correctly for both the online experience and eCommerce. Client's Consumer Business brand across Western Europe is going through a period of significant growth and it is therefore vitally important that the technical foundations it is built upon allow future development and evolution.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the technical requirements development for the business’ adoption of Adobe Marketing Cloud.
- Ensure proper integration of eCommerce functionality into main consumer experience.
- Manage global IT department based in China as an offshore development resource.
- Manage local agency development resource for web development.
- Work with global IT security to ensure compliance with European data privacy and security policies.
- Work towards creation of an in house development team to replace reliance on 3 rd party agency resources in the long term.
- Act as the link between IT and marketing and decipher priorities into IT deliverables.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Ability to lead on and implement a technical development strategy for the region
- Experience of managing local and off-shore development teams
- Extensive experience of managing Adobe Marketing Cloud development team
- In depth knowledge of best practice for development standards and processes to ensure future proofed platforms
- Ability to brief agency and in house studio teams for asset production
- Strong organisational capability to ensure proper project management delivery
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical scenarios and issues to less technical stakeholders
- Good lateral thinker capable of considering solutions to problems that may not be immediate obvious
- Capable of assessing effort required for 3rd party development
- Experience of working with 3rd parties to integrate data and data feeds to key online experiences
- People management skills - mentoring, coaching, performance management, able to spot and develop talent
- The ability to communicate and work with a variety of different stakeholders
- Previous experience of working in a similar technical role within an agency or in-house
- Experience of dealing with overseas global teams
- Experience of owning an ecommerce development roadmap
- Experience of working with localised teams within European region with local requirements
- Fluent/native English (oral and written).
