The IT department is responsible for setting up and maintaining an IT infrastructure and application landscape that fulfils our customers' present and future needs. We aim at achieving this by striving for an agile architecture, governance excellence and cost leadership.
The SAP ABAP technical developer is responsible for the proper, effective and efficient coding of new functionality within the current Belgian SAP application and all of its interfaces.
He/she writes, starting from the technical specification written by the functional analyst, new programs or adapts existing programs and documents the new functionality.
He/she knows and respects the application- and industry best coding practices and has proven programming experience, taking into account the logical program flow, database efficiency, application performance and the out-of-the box SAP solution.
He/she is responsible for unit tests and the timely, correct delivery of changes.
The person in this position reports to the SAP Application Manager.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of ABAP and all of its possibilities.
- Proven knowledge of the SAP/IS-U and FI/CA data model and function modules.
- Innovative thinker, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Is keen to learn.
- Experience in the energy sector is a must.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team in a customer-focused environment
- Results oriented and self-motivated with the ability to follow through on tasks/responsibilities with a relatively low degree of supervision
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to remain focus whilst working under pressure
- Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
Educational Background
- Preferably Bachelor or Master in IT. (or equivalent by experience)
- 5 years' experience in a similar position
