SAP BPC Business planning and consolidation consultant - Fixed Term contract - £40,000 - Watford

SAP BPC Business planning and consolidation consultant to help Provide 2nd /3rd line support, guidance and best practice knowledge. Work directly with the SAP Support team, SAP support partners, business users, super users and other key stakeholders such as our Finance department.

Main responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that SAP Support team processes, procedures and guidelines are adhered to by all parties
  • Identifying and raising issues to local business owners or management to achieve resolution of BPC development and BAU tasks
  • Maintain process documentation for BPC processes & tasks
  • Design and implementation of full solutions (including testing and UAT Support)
  • Clarify processes to end users and business stakeholders as required
  • Work with key stakeholders to fix data issues or to re-assign responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing bug fixes and improvements based on functional requirements of the business owners in the areas of financial and managements accounting, planning and forecasting
  • Ensuring both production and non-production environments data loads are executed in a timely manner
  • Configure key planning utilities in SAP including input schedules, allocations and forecast modules
  • Managing the incident, problem and change management processes within the BPC domain
  • Supporting functional and technical performance issue resolution and helping in RCA
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Assist with the production of development and functional specifications for new requirements
  • Assist with guidance on business processes and configuration
  • Liaise with SAP support partners, business users, super users and other key stakeholders, such as our Infrastructure team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and future SAP roadmaps
  • Production of quality technical documentation as required


Essential Skills and Experience
  • In depth knowledge of data manager packages, creation of dimensions, models, reports and input schedules
  • Must have good knowledge on Corporate Accounting/Finance
  • Possess excellent insight into the functional and technical aspects of SAP components which include SAP Business Planning and Consolidations v10 and v10.1
  • Capability in supporting functional and technical performance issue resolution
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and unambiguous documentation
  • Motivated to work in an independent manner, managing the deliverables allocated
  • Also able to work in close harmony with project, business and technical teams to ensure the end goal is met


Non-Essential
  • Experience with SAP BW/BI
  • Experience of retail-based business preferred but not essential
  • SAP S/4 HANA
  • ABAP and debugging experience
