Solution Architect

6 months Contract/Competitive

The Solution Architect will have responsibility for the Programme for:

  • Representing and the SAP Programme as SAP solution architect
  • Overseeing and ensuring all aspects of solution architecture and design integration as considered and managed.
  • Supporting the programme in delivering to the UK and adhering to programme governance.
  • Providing assurance that the overall SAP solution is further developed through the deployment in a strongly coherent and consistent manner in line with the agreed architectural framework.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The SAP Solution Architect will:

  • Support the delivery of SAP and work on developing the architecture, scope and design for future deployments.
  • Support the SAP Governance processes around scope management.
  • Understand and support the SAP Programme reference architecture and application component model of SAP and related components.
  • Understand and support the overall application and process architecture and how it relates to the physical application components.
  • Work closely with BUSINESS/external resources to make sure that the SAP solution being proposed is fit for purpose in terms of.
  • Overall solution design
  • Consistent database design
  • Appropriate use of standard SAP/levels of customisation
  • Usability
  • Appropriateness of the SAP solution
  • Provide business knowledge to help clarify any requirements or design decisions

National/International travel as required in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Multiple full life cycle SAP experience with a broad knowledge of IMG level across the major SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, eWM, QM).
