For a globally active customer I am currently looking for SAP Basis consultants for a long-term position.
Start: August 2018
End: August 2019.
In the role of SAP Basis & HANA SME, you are responsible for the planning and execution of complex SAP Basis Changes. You will take the lead with HANA and other extended basic topics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical delivery of SAP Basis administration services in mission-critical production support environments
- Plan and execute a variety of basic projects such as EHP and version upgrades, Unicode conversions, hardware migrations, landscape design and installations, HANA migrations, etc.
- Participation in customer meetings including architecture-related discussions
- Define technical master solutions and procedures for the team
- Fix and fix incidents with strict SLA criteria
- Providing on-call time during non-business hours at the rotation level
- Engage in the problem management process for root cause identification and permanent corrective action
- Support team to solve critical technical problems in crisis situations
REQUIRED
- Practical experience in SAP Basis System Administration ( 7+ years) on ABAP, J2EE Stacks for Netweaver 7.0 and higher versions
- Experience in the administration of SAP systems based on Linux & Oracle, Livecache &HANA platforms
- Knowledge of basic activities such as system updates, client copies, homogeneous/heterogeneous SAP-System migrations, SAP installations, Support Pack deployments, EHP and Kernel upgrades
- Conceptual knowledge and work experience in HA & DR scenarios for SAP landscapes
- Ability to resolve performance issues in the SAP environment
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes - incident, problem, change and release management
- Fluent in German and English
- Flexibility to work in 24x7 support & on-call models
- Willingness and flexibility to learn new technologies, scale quickly and adapt to different roles as the situation requires
