My client, an Energy Trading Company based in Sunbury, requires a SAP ABAP Developer

Role Overview

The SAP ABAP lead developer will coordinate and deliver activities related to the development of ABAP Program (ETL Tool) that can help with transformation of SAP values in to Workday Format.

This ABAP developer will co-ordinate the activities with offshore development team to ensure functionality is built as per the requirements and through testing is completed.

The ABAP Lead developer will need to create strong, collaborative relationships with other developers and with workday data analysts to ensure requirements are correctly communicated to off shore developers.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Migration - support and co-ordinate the end to end company data migration process for all phases; assist with completeness of development of ETL tool.
  • Data Transformation - Understands the data transformation process to build logic for seamless conversion of data from one system to another.
  • Development - Understand requirement to build the transform logic to produce file in the defined format.
  • Architecture - Knowledge and experience of building data table architectures to define logic for current transformation.
  • Communicate - Help communicate with developers transforming business requirement in to technical language and visa-versa.

Skills and Experiences

Essential knowledge, experience & expertise

  • Strong ABAP Development Skills
  • Understand HR data model to build ETL tool for transformation.
  • Good understanding of data tables to use in transforming values via ABAP codes. Skills to effectively communicate requirements to other developers.
  • Strong testing skills to ensure development work is supervised for quality output.
  • Understanding project management phases and data migration phases and cycle.
  • Attention to detail with excellent technical and analysis skill set
  • Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills
  • Team player, ability to work with diverse project team located around the world
  • Exhibits the ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and be flexible
  • Exhibits a high level of initiative.
