Supply Planner (m/f)

Main tasks:
  • Perform the heuristic at Finished Good packaging site level through Drug Product and Drug Substance and to resolve alerts over the planning horizon to meet demand requirements
  • Develop and maintain in APO a feasible supply plan for manufacturing sites and CMO in line with overall consolidated demand and that accounts for capacity limitations (Rough Cut Capacity Plan), material availability, product (e.g. regulatory constraints) and plant readiness (e.g. startup, launch)
  • Manage supply exceptions, perform trade-off analysis for supply issues and identify supply constraints to meet consolidated demand
  • Ensure changes and decisions are implemented per the approved plan and properly communicated
  • Single Point of Contact to manufacturing site based on product technology segmentation rules
  • Ensure that planning parameters are accurately maintained on a continual basis
  • Lead evaluation with sites to assess supply-mitigating actions to reconcile supply and demand gaps and work with Product Supply Chain owner to prepare recommendation for Supply Chain governance teams


Main qualifications
  • Solid experience in Supply Chain (Planning/Scheduling/Supply Chain Management) or related work experience
  • BS degree in related field required; Master or MBA as well
  • APICS Certification
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain systems
  • Specific experience with SAP R/3, SAP BW and APO
  • Pharmaceutical Industry experience
  • Experience in the core activities of technical operations (drug development, manufacturing, packaging, or logistics)
  • Data analytics capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • English must, German preferred, other languages an asset
  • Self-directed individual, focused on delivering results that add value to the business.
  • Manage routine activities and other initiatives while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Prioritize and manage multiple demands and commitments depending on business needs
  • Mobilize and manage cross-functional teams to facilitate root cause analysis and resolve issues
  • Proactive problem solving skills with an ability to anticipate operational issues and recommend solutions
  • Discipline in following defined processes and tasks
  • Active listening, continuous improvement attitude
  • Able to understand the big picture and to focus on details when needed: Strategic and process thinker with operative capabilities
  • Capabilities/Experience in managing multicultural, multifunctional and remote teams in a matrix organization
  • Team player with attitude to take over responsibility and initiative
