WAF Engineer

WAF Configuration and Management: Expertise in deploying, configuring, and maintaining WAF solutions like Imperva, F5, Akamai, or Cloudflare to mitigate threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and DDoS attacks. Expertise in Firewall too such as Palo Alto, FortiGate and ASA .     Application Security Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, web application architecture, APIs, and common security threats.     Network Security Fundamentals: Proficiency in protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP), traffic monitoring, and load balancing to ensure secure and optimized data flow.     Threat Detection and Response: Skilled in analyzing logs, identifying attack patterns, and creating custom rules or signatures to respond to emerging threats effectively.     Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance WAF functionality.     Incident Management: Experience with incident response workflows, creating security policies, and documenting processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).     Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with development and DevOps teams to secure applications without compromising performance.       Strong communication and a proactive approach are vital for staying ahead of evolving cybersecurity threats in this dynamic role.
