Project history
Following offshoring of the Salmon Treasury role under a company-wide cost programme, used the transition to relocate to Madrid, complete Spanish A2 at Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, and stay hands-on through open-source .NET and Docker-based projects. Registered to operate as autonomo in Spain.
Sole DevOps lead supporting four product teams (~23 engineers), introducing CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and engineering governance from scratch for a treasury platform serving 40+ Tier 1/2 enterprise clients. Partnered directly with the CTO on architecture across identity, infrastructure and deployment. Provisioned Azure SaaS environments with Terraform, championed GitFlow and semantic versioning, and designed RESTful APIs as TypeScript Azure Functions.
Full-stack developer on a globally distributed team responsible for settlements routing and trade capture, processing billions in daily dollar value across the SWIFT network.
