I am Austrian Citizen (born in Poland). I'm back to Europe (Lugano, Switzerland), after spending 12 years in New Zealand extending my internation experience.
I have an excellent command of 3 languages, German, English, and Polish.
I have been working in IT since 1985, as a developer, consultant and technical team lead. I've work up until April 2024 at Bison AG in Sursee and now looking for new contract.
Java based technologies were my focus in those roles for the last 23 years. During my whole career I gained wide range of experience in software integration (3rd party, API, Cloud), database design, administration, performance tuning, test automation and tools, quality management, framework development, and workflow integration.
I’ve worked on a big digital transformation project for the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft being responsible for introducing Oracle Tools into the project and ongoing development and Quality Management.
I spent number of years with the Ministry of Defence, Austria, customising an off-the-shelf workflow engine and integrating their APIs with the legacy systems. I liaised with the supplier of the workflow engine about changes that needed to be made, directed an in-house team of about 30 developers, and carried out hands-on Java development.
After my relocation to New Zealand I was involved in several projects around integration (AWS, Azure API, MuleSoft, IBM IIB), web service, microservices, and portal development (Liferay).
I also singlehanded developed the front-end and the corresponding back-end services for the AOG GovtDNS (see below).
Working on a big digital transformation and integration project for the Ministry of Health NZ for the last 4 years I took on responsibilities in upgrading old services, developing infrastructure components on the AWS platforms, test automation and CI/CD related tasks.
I consider myself often as the ‘firefighter’ who steps in to troubleshoot, or to complete the most difficult and complex parts of a project. I learn constantly, updating my knowledge of the technologies required by the customer. I’m keen and not afraid of learning new technologies and languages, also under time constraints and pressure. Software development is and was from the beginning my passion. I love to work within a team and be able to make sensible contributions.
