Design consultant
paulbamford.me (Internet and Information Technology, < 10 employees)

Self-employed Senior Product Designer in Berlin for 7 years working with a host of big and small clients across a wide array of industries. My usual role was to embed with agile teams for periods ranging from 3 to 18 months and lead the design process on various parts of the product.

Selected clients:
- adidas
- Deutsche Bank
- Accenture/Fjord
- Quandoo
- Get Your Guide
- Friday
- Marley Spoon
- Outfittery

I worked from the start to the end of the design process to research and identify user needs, strategise with teams to come up with hypotheses, logic and ideas, build prototypes to validate with end-users, and then deliver all UI, documentation and flows in a format engineers and other stakeholders could easily use.

Helping teams structure direction, formulate goals, and design processes was always a big part of my time with them and I found working with these disparate products, setups and structures helped me find commonalities and become more flexible as a designer, one able to distil my approach to first principles which help me quickly understand the fundamentals of a problem and start acting to bring positive change from day one.
