Project history
The customer is a private company in Sweden that works in Swedish basic industry and materials technology. The customer requested my expertise and the result was an interim work where I worked as a link between the business and the IT organization in a fork out with a resulting IPO in 2022. The work is extremely broad from supporting the customer in the development of a new data center setup with the construction of data halls with relevant hardware, creation of services, service catalog and governance and compliance models to be delivered to the business and supporting the Global Enterprise Services unit with various business development and advice.
You can read a selection of what I have done with my last customer I had the pleasure being contracted and spent a total of 3.5 years + as an advisor and lead architect to their Group IT unit, I worked with several different things such as.
- Migration of 600+ Systems & Applications from IBM to own hardware and with a successful cut-off without the business
experiencing a single problem.
- Ensuring full IT infrastructure compliance ahead of the fork-out's tightly scheduled date for Alleima's IPO on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
- IT Service portfolio and discussion and guidance towards external supplier to get everything up in ServiceNow
- Financial summary of overheads in Data Center Operations and Cloud Operations in the form of capacity, value-added services and central overheads in order to have a zero-sum game in costs against the business to get the maximum impact of investments and initiatives made.
- IT services towards the business and IT infrastructure offer from stand alone instances to managed Kubernetes solutions and frameworks.
- Digital transformation project where a number of legacy .Net and MS SQL applications were given new light in the form of Open-Source alternatives.
- SLA and OLA Descriptions and System Documentation. Service descriptions linked to SLA and OLA and the IT Portfolio developed
- Service Delivery towards the business together with a colleague. The task was to manage operational meetings and provide feedback upwards in the event of escalations and out towards the business for systems and IT infrastructure according to a change process that has been developed.
- Part of the SAP Delivery Team and delegation of capacity to external parties. Worked closely with the business on each quarterly and annual ITGC audit according to the Governance model.
- Part of the Global Lead Architect team over the past year where I have taken part of the challenges of the digital journey and the adjustments that the business must make in order not to get into a situation where the initiatives will result in a cost that becomes more and more difficult to effect in a simple way. I was also part of the Integration Forum, Enterprise Architecture Forum and Applications Hosting Forum
