Are you an expert in application packaging looking for a new challenge? Join our team and work independently on end-to-end application packaging processes, from initial request to final deployment, collaborating with customers, vendors, and IT departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical analysis, requirements gathering, package creation, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
- Create documentation for all tasks.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including installation methods, file systems, registry usage, services, user profiles, and hardware drivers.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft's Windows Installer technology for Windows 10, including the MSI application format, tables, features, components, properties, and creating Transform files.
- Proficient in using AdminStudio and InstallShield to convert proprietary installation methods to standard MSI format, familiar with Advertised Shortcuts, Upgrade Codes, and Custom Actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing installation/uninstallation issues and software conflicts with both vendor-supplied and locally created installers, in MSI or proprietary formats.
- Scripting skills in various languages, including Windows PowerShell, Batch script, and Visual Basic.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM for creating and deploying applications in a large-scale enterprise environment, including application dependencies and supersedence, and the ability to monitor and remediate deployments.
- Experience virtualizing applications into Microsoft App-V format.
- Prior experience in environments with multiple non-admin users on the same Workstation with non-persistent local profiles .
Desired Skills:
- Some admin experience with Azure/Intune is a plus.
