Assembly Support Engineer (IC Packaging)
Initial 12 month contract + extensions possible
Leuven, Belgium (Hybrid working, 2-3 days onsite per week)

An assembly Support Engineer works with customer and OSATs to ensure that integrated circuits are packaged correctly. This involves working with a variety of teams, including design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance teams.

The assignment
- Provide technical support to customer on assembly processes, qualifications, and materials.
- Ensure delivery of packaged components in time to the customer.
- Ensures quality and reliability of assembled components.
- Work with suppliers to source and qualify new packaging materials and components.
- Generate reports on packaging yields, defects, and other relevant metrics.
Required knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor packaging technologies, materials, and processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and specifications for IC packaging.
- Analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the IC packaging process.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
