Azure Cloud Architect (Openshift)

Overview:
We’re seeking a senior-level Enterprise or Solution Architect with strong experience across Cloud architecture, OpenShift, DevOps pipelines, and API integration, ideally within the financial services sector. This is a strategic role bridging business and technology, and will play a key part in driving complex transformation projects across the organization’s IT landscape.
You will shape solution architectures that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals, while advising senior stakeholders on best practices and future-state designs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain architectural blueprints of the IT landscape across key delivery domains.
• Lead the architectural direction of transformation projects aligned to the organization's digital roadmap.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Advise senior management on target architectures and the roadmap to achieve them.
• Translate organizational goals into scalable system, application, and solution designs.
• Ensure that all technical solutions meet both formal architecture standards and project requirements.
• Oversee and guide technical execution, ensuring quality and adherence to architectural direction.

Key Requirements:
Must-Have Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (Container orchestration)
• Azure Cloud Architecture – hands-on design and implementation
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Solid working knowledge of GitHub (including version control and integrations)
• Experience in API management and integration platforms
• Strong understanding of Open Banking standards and third-party API integration
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus (not mandatory)
Soft Skills:
• Strategic thinker with a “helicopter view” of IT architecture
• Able to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Confident communicator and influencer at both technical and executive levels
• Independent, proactive, and capable of managing complexity
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience in banking, fintech, or regulated industries
• Exposure to enterprise transformation, cloud migration, or digital modernization projects
