Short Project Description

For our international client in banking industry, we are looking for Backend Engineer (m/w/d) (Java and Go) with AI Expertise.

Your mission:
  1. Utilize AI technologies to speed up feature development; create prototypes and proposals for solution migrations
  2. Develop, improve, and maintain backend systems using Go and Java within a Kubernetes environment
  3. Design APIs, event-driven architectures, and event schemas
  4. Work with event streaming and event sourcing (Apache Pulsar)
  5. Implement microservices and Functions as a Service (FaaS)
  6. Automate integration, testing, and deployment processes using declarative GitOps (ArgoCD)
  7. Collaborate in requirements analysis; support Product Owners by clarifying system capabilities and constraints
  8. Operate within an international agile team alongside business analysts, frontend developers, testers, and DevOps

Your core competencies:
  1. Several years of experience in software development
  2. Adaptability and strong interest to integrate AI with various projects
  3. Ability to present prototypes or concepts to senior management
  4. Pro-active, creative attitude and team orientation
  5. Excellent communication skill
  6. Structured working approach and problem solving skills
  7. Very good command of English (mandatory), German is a plus

  4. Location: Vienna / Remote (approx. 70% remote, 30% on-site)
  5. Mandatory on-site presence on defined team days as well as specific presentation appointments
  6. Contract type: Time & Material
