Role Overview:

My Client are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in process analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management, combined with robust knowledge of technology. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to map processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver effective solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Mapping and Analysis

    • Document and analyze current business processes
    • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within existing processes.
    • Design and propose optimized processes to enhance operational efficiency and align with business objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
    • Ensure clear and concise documentation for development and QA teams.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across business and IT functions.
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure seamless communication.
    • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to align stakeholders on project goals.
  • Technology Integration and Knowledge

    • Provide insights into technology trends and solutions within the insurance industry.
    • Support system implementation, upgrades, and integrations in line with business needs.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible and align with business goals.
  • Delivery and Collaboration

    • Work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
    • Contribute to change management initiatives by preparing impact assessments and supporting training plans.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance sector.
    • Strong expertise in process mapping and business process re-engineering.
    • Excellent skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
    • Familiarity with insurance platforms, systems, and technologies (eg, policy administration systems, claims systems, underwriting tools).
