Description
I am actively recruiting for a Business Operations Manager on a 6 month contract for a large Central Government Organisation. The role is Inside IR35 paying up to £250/day and remotely based with travel once per week to Bristol.
The Business Operations team supports the organisation by facilitating:
- Recruitment and Workforce Planning
- Financial Management and Business Planning
- Commercials and Procurement
- IT and Information Management
The Role:
- Support business as usual financial processes such as receipting invoices and maintaining trackers;
- Support business as usual recruitment processes such as civil servant and contingent labour recruitment through supporting teams to complete required templates and documentation and maintain trackers;
- Process requests such as approvals for travel and requests for software licences;
- Support the compilation of data from teams and generation of reports, by for example creating templates and sharing with teams;
- Maintain our process and knowledge documentation;
- Track and manage approvals for recruitment and purchasing
- Provide general support as directed by the Head of Operations
- Represent the Operations Team professionally when engaging with teams or our business partners.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable knowledge of using spreadsheets and functionality such as: Conditional formatting - VLOOKUP - Sumif and countif
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisation and time management skills with an attention to detail;
- Good working knowledge of standard office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc).
- We use Google Workspace, which is functionally very similar to Microsoft 365.
- The ability to produce clear and concise reports for review
- The ability to multi-task across on distinct tasks, and to learn ways of working and tools quickly
- The aptitude to document ways of working on a wiki such as confluence or google-sites and to document processes (eg flow charts) as you learn them;
- The ability to self organise and proactive attitude to problem-solving;
- To be able to work individually as well as part of a team
