C++ Developer (Onsite, Newport) - SC Clearance Required
Location: Newport, UK - FULLY ONSITE, Could offer condensed working week 4.5 days in 4 days (Fridays off)
Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Rate: Up to £725 per day (Inside IR35)

We are currently seeking a skilled C++ Developer to join our dynamic team onsite in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced developer with SC clearance and British nationality to contribute to a high-profile project within a secure environment. The successful candidate will work alongside a talented group of professionals to develop cutting-edge solutions that will have a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality software solutions using C++ programming language
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software components
  • Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their needs

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in C++ development
  • SC clearance is mandatory (current and active)
  • British nationality is required
  • Experience with STM32, PIC8, Arduino or PI
  • Microcontroller or MCU Experience
  • RTOS
  • Hardware experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyser
  • Some IoT
  • Protocol Knowledge I2C, SPI, GPIOs, CAN, RS323, RS485
  • General Linux experience
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable code
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with version control systems (eg, Git)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Please note: This position is Inside IR35. The successful candidate will be responsible for paying taxes and National Insurance contributions in accordance with IR35 regulations.
