What You’ll Do
Develop Gameplay Systems: Implement core FPS mechanics, including shooting, movement, AI behavior, and player interactions.
Optimize Performance: Ensure smooth gameplay by profiling and optimizing code for high performance on PC and consoles.
Collaborate with Designers and Artists: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to bring creative ideas to life in Unreal Engine.
Integrate Physics and Animation: Use Unreal Engine’s tools to create realistic character movement, weapon handling, and dynamic environments.
Build Modular Systems: Create reusable, modular components for gameplay features and support rapid iteration.
Debug and Polish: Identify and fix bugs to ensure a seamless player experience.
What We’re Looking For
Proficiency in C++: Strong experience with object-oriented programming and advanced C++ concepts.
Unreal Engine Expertise: Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints and custom C++ development.
FPS Game Knowledge: A deep understanding of FPS mechanics and systems, such as weapon handling, HUDs, and player movement.
Optimization Skills: Familiarity with performance profiling tools in Unreal Engine to maximize frame rates and responsiveness.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and debugging skills for tackling complex challenges.
Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a creative team environment.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with multiplayer networking and replication in Unreal Engine.
Familiarity with animation systems like IK, retargeting, and procedural animation.
Knowledge of physics systems for destructible environments or dynamic interactions.
Background in AI development, particularly for enemy behavior in FPS games.
