Role: Software Engineer – Cloud & Operations Support
Location: Madrid, Spain

Working Model: 2-3 days per week at the client’s offices in Barajas, Madrid
Language: Spanish (C1) & English (B1/b2 is fine)
We are looking to hire a Software Engineer – Cloud & Operations Support with the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring & Diagnostics: Identify and analyze issues in production environments using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and OS tools, while proposing fast and effective solutions.
• Production Support: Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve incidents in AWS, Linux systems (RHEL), and Windows.
• Automation: Work with automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, CloudFormation) for deployments and troubleshooting.
• Environment Optimization: Evaluate system and database configurations (Oracle and SQL) to enhance performance and stability.
• System Management: Administration and troubleshooting in environments based on EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3.
• Networking: Understand complex network architectures (VPC, TGW).
• Application Support: Basic diagnostics and optimization of .NET applications on Windows and Java applications on JBoss/Tomcat.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Work with deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and version control in GitHub.
• Observability Enhancements: Implement dashboards, alerts, and logging tools to improve issue detection and analysis.
• Training & Documentation: Create training materials and lead sessions to enhance team knowledge on AWS and system administration.
Technical Requirements:
• 3–5 years of experience in Linux (RHEL) and Windows system administration within AWS environments.
• Basic knowledge of Oracle and SQL database administration and optimization.
• Proven experience in production troubleshooting, identifying bottlenecks in systems, networks, and databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, OS tools).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Basic support and administration of .NET applications on Windows and Java on JBoss/Tomcat.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes (ECS and EKS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation tasks.
Certifications:
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a strong plus.
• Experience with ITSM tools and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira.
