Description

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for experienced professionals to support a major infrastructure project in Ireland in the following roles:

Senior Contract Manager

Senior Contract Administrator

Start: 01 May 2026

Contract type: Permanent employment

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Role Overview:

Both positions are part of a large-scale rail infrastructure project and play a key role in ensuring effective contract management and administration throughout the project lifecycle, from construction through to operational phases.

Key Responsibilities (depending on role and seniority):
  • Ensuring compliance with contract management standards, terms, and conditions (in particular NEC suite contracts)
  • Managing and administering contracts during construction and operational phases
  • Reviewing, negotiating, and approving contracts, subcontractor documentation, and commercial arrangements
  • Managing relationships with contractors, consultants, and advisors to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Reviewing compensation events, payment applications, forecasts, and defined costs
  • Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring contract management strategies, processes, KPIs, and documentation
  • Overseeing financial management, claims management, audits, and risk mitigation activities
  • Supporting tender processes, contract documentation, and appointment of contractors and consultants
  • Leading and coordinating contract administration activities and, where applicable, managing contract administration teams
  • Maintaining structured contract filing systems and contract administration tools (e.g. CEMAR)


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, including extensive experience in contract management and/or contract administration on complex, high-value infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in NEC contracts (NEC Reg required)
  • Bachelor's degree (Honours or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commercial Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business
  • A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification is advantageous
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, SCSI, ICE, IEI or equivalent) is required
  • Proven experience in managing contractor and consultant relationships at senior levels
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with contract management systems such as CEMAR or Unifier
  • Ability to work effectively within complex, multidisciplinary project environments, ideally within the rail sector
