The Opportunity: We are seeking highly skilled Cyber Security Engineers to join our team and support a leading financial services client. This role involves providing comprehensive support across the client's UK networks, ensuring the highest levels of security and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and support cyber security systems and applications to ensure availability, covering all levels of support (1st/2nd/3rd Line).
- Deliver technical project work and fault management with in-depth call and incident management.
- Handle escalations by providing the necessary technical expertise.
- Maintain, upgrade, and document all security infrastructure components.
- Design and implement network and security projects in line with corporate standards, best practices, and business requirements.
- Conduct ongoing audits and vulnerability analysis on key security and network components, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop other team members through skills and knowledge transfer.

Knowledge and Skills Required: Essential:
- Expertise in core security skills with Firewalls (Check Point, Juniper Netscreen/SRX, Palo Alto).
- Proficiency with IPS systems (Sourcefire, Firepower, McAfee, Check Point).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, VPN, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, other teams, and management.

- Certifications such as Checkpoint CCSE
- Experience with DLP, Automation, Cloud Technologies, and Micro-segmentation.
- CISSP certification.

Additional Information:
- Part of a 24x7 on-call support rota.
- Out of hours support, and scheduled out of hours project and implementation work required.
- Occasional travel to other sites within the UK.

Professional working day 8am -6pm on a rota 8-4, 9-5 or 10-6.

Onsite in the office 2 days a week (must do 8 days a month)

Adhoc office visits based on workshops/meetings.

Oncall 24*7 1 week in 6 or as required to help cover sickness/holidays

Out of hour work to deliver projects/requests

Location: Remote and two days on-site per week)

Contract Type: Contractor inside IR35

Rates offered will depend on skills and experience.
