Der Consultant.
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a large enterprise environment in the insurance domain. You will design and lead modern Azure Databricks lakehouse architectures, working closely with business and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite
Contract Type: B2B / Contract
Start: ASAP
Language: French OR Dutch (mandatory) + English (working proficiency)
Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake
Architect lakehouse solutions with strong focus on performance optimisation, governance, and security
Translate business requirements into robust data models and technical architectures
Lead technical migrations to Databricks, covering batch and real-time streaming workloads
Define and contribute to architecture standards and cloud data best practices
Mentor distributed/offshore engineers on Databricks platform capabilities
Work with ADF orchestration and ADLS Gen2 in enterprise Azure environments
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience as a Data Architect / Senior Data Engineer
Azure Databricks (lakehouse architecture, Spark, Delta Lake)
Azure Data Factory (ADF) orchestration
ADLS Gen2
Batch & streaming data processing architectures
Data governance, security, and performance optimisation
Stakeholder collaboration in complex enterprise setups
Language Requirement (Mandatory)
French OR Dutch (professional level)
English (good working level)
