Description
Location: Remote from Portugal (preferred), Spain, Poland and Croatia.
Contract Type: Freelance / B2B / Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until September 2026 initially. (with possibility to extend until end of Sept 2027)
Hourly Rate: €55-€60 per hour
Role Overview
This role is highly technical yet business-facing, requiring a hands-on architect who can bridge the gap between product teams and engineering, providing strategic guidance while ensuring projects are delivered with best-in-class practices.
You will be working alongside 3-5 Solution Architects that support a large portfolio of Data Analytics Projects. The team consist of 50+ developers and 5-7 Product Managers.
In this position you will be providing Architectural direction, solution design, and coding best practices. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with product managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the business transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architecture design for large-scale, data solutions on AWS and Snowflake.
- Define coding standards, best practices, and service usage patterns for developers.
- Serve as the central point of contact for technical guidance across multiple projects.
- Partner with product managers to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Work with multicultural, cross-functional teams to align architecture with business objectives.
- Present architectural decisions and solution designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as the primary technical contact for complex project challenges.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale AWS implementations.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, CloudFront, SQS, CloudWatch, SageMaker, and AWS CDK.
- Proven Snowflake architecture and data integration expertise.
- AWS certifications (preferred).
- Ability to lead in multi-cultural, cross-functional environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
