Description

Amass Technology are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a leading project on a long term freelance basis.
The engineer will work closely with architects, developers, and data engineers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient delivery of data processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying data processing workflows.
  2. Operationalize solutions on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or similar platforms).
  3. Develop and manage automated execution pipelines for scheduled data workloads.
  4. Support system integrations using event-streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka or similar).
  5. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
  6. Manage infrastructure and configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code.
  7. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable deployments and operations.

Required Skills & Experience
  1. Strong experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.
  2. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or similar).
  3. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
  4. Experience managing data pipelines or batch processing workloads.
  5. Knowledge of event streaming / messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
  6. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  7. Scripting skills for automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
