Description

Project description
As Business Analyst within the Business Transformation Excellence team you will play a key role in the (digital) transformation of the Infrastructure Department. To support the energy transition, the increase in renewable energy and the nuclear phase-out, the company needs to invest heavily in the extension and reinforcement of its grid. In addition, considering the aging assets of the existing grid, there are a lot of replacements to be realized during the next year. As a result the number of requests for grid infrastructure works is exploding. If the company wants to succeed in realizing the required works in time with the available resources and budgets, it needs to improve it’s efficiency and make better use of the digital opportunities.

The current role focuses on the EGDC (Enhanced Grid Development Capability) project. This project will review and improve the processes and tools related to:
• Needs Management: capture the needs for changes to the company’s electricity grid, support the portfolio management of these needs.
• Project Initiation: translating these needs into infrastructure projects and programs.
• Management of Power System Studies: studies to identify the needs and to analyze potential solutions.

The business analyst is responsible for designing efficient business processes. In addition, you will capture business needs and translate them into business specifications for IT systems. In doing so, you will serve as a bridge between the business and users on the one hand and the various (IT) partners (functional analyst, project manager, architect, etc.) on the other, challenging all parties in the process. The aim is to develop and maintain the necessary IT tools in order to optimally and pragmatically support business processes..
