FEL250217P5A1: SAP FI/CO Consultant Medior - (Brussels, 60% remote, 9 months, ASAP)

Service description:

We are looking for a results?driven SAP FI/CO Consultant with 5 years of hands?on experience specializing in SAP Finance (FI/CO). Proven track record in analyzing business requirements, designing scalable SAP solutions, and supporting end?to?end financial processes in dynamic enterprise environments. Skilled in delivering functional enhancements, driving process improvements, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Combines strong SAP expertise with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset — especially in adopting new technologies such as AI, automation tools, and data?driven solutions to optimize financial operations.
You will form a tandem with 2 Expert level FI/CO consultants, where your focus would be future & modern technology oriented.

Requirements:

Profile :
  1. 5 years of working experience with SAP - established expertise in S/4 HANA Finance (must – see also hereunder core competencies).
  2. Implementation experience is required.
  3. Languages: fluent in English. Dutch, French and German are all a plus.
  4. Have excellent communication and alignment skills across the different work streams, with the stakeholders and business key-users.
  5. You need to have a positive attitude towards integration possibilities within SAP.
  6. Team player with an analytical mind and good communication and thorough documentation skills.
  7. Excellent communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across finance business key-users and IT
  8. Adaptable and fast learner in complex SAP landscapes
Core competencies:
  1. Foundational knowledge with the SAP FI/CO Modules: GL, AP, AR, AA
  2. Knowledge of Financial Processes: Period-end closing, invoice processing, asset lifecycle, payment processes, intercompany flows
  3. Proven experience with Project Work: Requirement gathering, conducting workshops, writing functional specifications, testing (SIT/UAT), go-live & hyper-care support
  4. Integration Experience: SAP MM, SD, and interfaces with non-SAP systems
  5. Technical Acumen: Understanding of tables, basic debugging, data migration (LSMW/BAPIs), Interfacing technologies (API management, Idoc, …)
  6. Experience with following technologies is treated as a plus: Ariba, VIM, SAP Business Partners, SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud Edition, SAP HCM, SAP S/4 HANA Private Cloud Edition, Fiori, SAP BI
  7. You should have good understanding of functional/technical flows between SAP Financials and SAP SD, MM and PS.
  8. Good functional understanding of financial reporting (operational – management reporting to executive reporting)
Openness to new technologies:
The key deciding factor in the hiring process will not be the deep technical knowledge, even though that would put you ahead. We are specifically looking for profiles enthusiastic about, and willing to drive, leveraging AI, machine learning, automation, and predictive analytics to modernize finance processes. Willing to drive our Public & Private Cloud initiatives.
Examples include:
  1. AI?driven invoice recognition and matching
  2. Intelligent automation (RPA) for repetitive finance tasks
  3. Exploring SAP Business AI and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
  4. Migration to SAP Private Cloud Edition (scheduled for the summer of 2026)
  5. Support on our affiliate management program with SAP Public Cloud Edition
