Service description:
Our client plays a major role in the Belgian and European energy landscape, building sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure. The company is seeking freelancers to work remotely and locally on various national and international projects.
The mission consists of:
Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and data integrations
Creating efficient storage structures, analytical models and materialized views
Implementing data exchange endpoints for end users and downstream systems
Working with Azure-based technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and related services
Developing data transformations and enrichments using Python in a Databricks environment
Collaborating closely with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver product-oriented solutions
Contributing to data governance activities (data quality, lineage, glossary, modelling)
Supporting and strengthening DevOps principles, testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines
Writing and maintaining clear technical and functional documentation
Requirements:
At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in 2 out of the following 4 areas:
SQL Server usage and data modelling
Azure data services (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Stream/Log Analytics, Azure DevOps)
Python-based data pipelines and transformations in Databricks
Willingness to learn and work with new technologies (e.g. Redis, RabbitMQ, Neo4j, Apache Arrow)
Experience with Power BI
Experience with SAP data integration is a plus (not mandatory)
Strong analytical mindset and ability to challenge assumptions with rational thinking
Product-oriented and customer-focused mindset
Experience working in agile environments
Ability and willingness to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
Strong communication skills and team spirit
Fluent English (mandatory) and German, French or Dutch (nice to have / soft requirement)
Proven track record of continuous improvement and delivering results
