Service description:
Our client plays a major role in the Belgian and European energy landscape, building sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure. The company is seeking freelancers to work remotely and locally on various national and international projects.
The service consists of the following tasks:
Conducting a needs assessment aligned with hybrid cloud and application refactoring
Performing capacity planning for resilient and redundant environments
Defining a phased roadmap for system integration
Evaluating co-location, new build and in-house data center scenarios
Assessing edge computing and virtual substation opportunities
Delivering cost-benefit analyses and risk mitigation strategies
Developing a sovereign cloud integration strategy
Defining redundancy, resiliency and disaster recovery approaches
Analyzing network topology impact on infrastructure design
Delivering a strategic document with scenarios and recommendations
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in data center strategy development and implementation
Proven experience with co-location, new data center builds and hybrid models
Experience in writing and evaluating RFPs for critical infrastructure
Strong expertise in hybrid and sovereign cloud solutions
Knowledge of edge computing and network backbone design
Understanding of resilience requirements for real-time critical systems
Strong strategic, analytical and cost-benefit assessment skills
Excellent executive-level communication skills
Fluent English
French or Dutch (one native required)
Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams
