Language: This position requires strong written and spoken English and at least one national language, Dutch or French.

This position requires the fulfilment of at least 5 of the listed requirements:
  1. You have at least 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  2. You have experience with requirements engineering, functional validation, and solution testing.
  3. You have strong oral and written communication skills in English and at least one of the following languages, Dutch or French.
  4. You bring an analytical mindset, challenge assumptions constructively, and work well as a team player.
  5. You have knowledge of BPMN and knowledge of IREB, certification is a plus.
  6. Experience with SAP, Copperleaf C55, or IBM Saga is considered an advantage.

Service description:
Our client plays a major role in the Belgian and European energy landscape, building sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure. The company is seeking a freelancer to support a strategic internal transformation project in a hybrid setup.

The perfect candidate for this position is an IT Business Analyst with experience in requirements engineering, solution testing, business process documentation, and complex system landscapes involving enterprise interfaces.

The mission consists of:
  1. The client is a major transmission system operator in Western Europe, ensuring a reliable and sustainable electricity supply.
  2. The assignment supports an internal business project focused on enhancing grid development capabilities and improving the management of grid needs, long-term grid studies, and grid projects.
  3. The current tooling is being replaced by a new solution that will support project initiation, cost estimation, scheduling, resource demand, and the management and clustering of grid needs.


The service consists of the following tasks:
  1. Edit and refine business requirements for the new solution and its interfaces with SAP and IBM Saga.
  2. Validate and challenge functional designs delivered by internal IT teams and external implementation partners.
  3. Prepare and support requirements testing and User Acceptance Tests.
  4. Document business processes, user manuals, and training materials.
  5. Support data migration activities linked to the future solution.
  6. Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Business Analysis team and other involved business analysts.

ASAP, ideally May 2026 – End of 2026, extension possible
- Volume:
Approx. 100% (40 hours/week)
- Work Location:
Hybrid, Brussels area, Belgium, 2 days onsite required
